English and Arabic Language Test Conducted for 180 Candidates for Academic Positions

In the main conference hall of Kandahar University, an English and Arabic language test was conducted for 180 candidates applying for academic positions in government and private universities and higher education institutions of the Southwest Zone. The examination process was overseen by Kandahar University officials, a delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education, and some officials and professors from government universities in the Southwest Zone.

 

The event began with the recitation of a few blessed verses from the Holy Quran. Following this, the honorable Chancellor of Kandahar University, Sheikh Al-Haj Mawlawi Abdul Rahman Taibi, welcomed all participants. He then spoke about the value of knowledge and the importance of using English and Arabic languages in educational institutions. He encouraged the youth to utilize their knowledge and writing skills for the service of Islam, emphasizing that the system has great expectations from them and urging them to fully support the system.

Later, the head of the Academic Appointment and Promotions Department at Kandahar University, Assistant Professor Moladad Haqmal, explained the details of the examination process. He stated that out of 180 candidates, 40 would be selected for academic positions in government universities of the Southwest Zone. The first phase involved testing their proficiency in international languages, while the second phase would assess their professional knowledge. Haqmal further mentioned that only those who achieve the highest scores and prove themselves competent and deserving will succeed in securing these positions.

It is worth noting that the professional examination for these academic positions will be conducted tomorrow, Monday, for the shortlisted candidates.
